    Sounds like that could be more of a server side issue than one with putty. Do you have the same problems with other servers, or when not attaching to a screened (? Minecraft) server session?

    I haven't got access to any other servers, so I can't find out if it is just that server that's having the problem, however there are 3 other Admins that use putty and aren't getting the same issue as far as I'm aware.

    I've had the issue both;
    after logging in but before selecting a screen/issuing any commands
    when I'm on a screen (Minecraft).

    I've had this problem when I've hit CTRL+S. To get control back I hit CTRL+Q. This was in a different program window so not sure if it would help on Minecraft, probably worth a go though :P

    CTRL + S fixed it! Thanks
    I haven't been pressing any of those keystrokes though to "lock" it in the first place, so it must be another program thats conflicting with it causing it to do so.

    Seems to be doing the same thing, except CTRL + S isn't fixing it..
    The cause is now when I try to CTRL A + D to close the screen..

    CTRL A + D should disconnect all screens. As its been said befor it looks like there is an issue with the server install of screen. I would suggest that you YUM/APT-GET remove screen, then --purge then update && upgrade then install screen again. Let me know what OS its on and I can help further.

    Reformatted my computer due to Windows messing up my RAM configuration, however now I'm having another problem;

    When I try typing in the screen, it gets taken above with the server outputs. For example (Minecraft), if I'm typing in the console: /give YarwoodUK 1 1 and somebody types, I'll lose what I typed and it'll go on the end of the last output.

    Any way to fix this?
    Thanks
