    BYOC and indoor camping

If I've bought a BYOC ticket, I'm guessing it doesn't include camping and I have to pay for that separately?

Also how safe is the indoor camping likely to be a 16 year old?

Only those over the age of 16 may purchase indoor camping tickets and camp in the indoor camping area, even if accompanied by someone over 16. You are required to bring photo ID (in accordance with our age policy set out above), in order to collect your indoor camping wristband.

Depends. How good is the 16 year old at dodging spike filled pit traps?
    Can they outrun a bear?
    What about a security badger?

My views are extremely unlikely to coincide exactly with those of MPUK.

These challenges only appear around Henner's temporary LAN residence.

Yes, you need to get a camping ticket separately.

It's pretty safe - there is NEC security on the entrance door to the camping hall 24/7 (plus a fire marshal type person at some of the fire exits depending on the layout) and only people with the wristbands can get in. I've certainly never heard of any major issues. There are sometimes people who have had a bit too much to drink, but the issues are mostly noise related from that - just make sure you have some earplugs!

I wouldn't leave any valuables in your tent/camping area when not in the hall though, security wouldn't notice who was going into which tent!

Thanks. He's camped with us at festivals a few times, so he's used to noise-related sleep deprivation and the occasional passing drunken adult. It's just different doing it without family or friends around as a back-up.

Does camping usually sell out quickly?

Usually it sells out, but how fast varies by event, so it's always better to be safe and get it sooner rather than later.

Invest in some cheap throwaway earplugs. Spend some time getting used to wearing them. I "borrow" some from work near LAN time. It amazing how much background noise they kill. Your ears might kill you in the morning but your body will thank you for the rest of the day for getting some proper rest.
