    Thumbs down DayZ Server battleye not doing anything?..

    Hey guys,

    I'm in a little pickle I think with battleye. Last night I joined my server to have a few hours playing when I came across a player using mods ( kept going to an ammo box ). My worry is now, how many others are doing it in the server?.. My battleye seems to be working .. If anyone could help I'd be very greatful. I really don't want these hackers wrecking the game for other players on the server..

    Without rcon I'm finding it hard to even kick these players..

    omg you can't kick them, the dev will go mental and blacklist your server :>

    The game is just being totally overrun by hackers at the moment. They are able to bypass battleye completely. Our server is getting screwed over at least 3 or 4 times a day. It's the same old trick, teleporting a load of players to a random location so that we can all be killed by some sexually frustrated 14 year olds who are unable to enjoy an awesome game without hacking and ruining it for everyone else.

    Hey guys DAmian here ( AzErEuS ) i am admin of a multiplay server. Those ammo box come from a Scripter hacker ( different from the exe hacker ). These scripts can only be used if you can access the Ctrl+P shortcut inside the game, which leads to the Server Control Screen. Now.. i have a script that prevents ANYONE from accessing the Server Control Screen, and those who try to get inside got kicked. Now.... this wont allow you to admin ingame but only trhow the Arma2 Rcon Client ( which i also recomend ).
    I was able to kick 100% of the scripters hackers but not the .exe arma2 modified hackers ( those are 100% battleeye prevent not you ).

    This script goes into
    ¨Configs>Scripts.txt¨ this script will also fill up the script.log telling you which script was used by who, also allows you to find hackers. Replace what is inside with your scripts.txt with what i just gave you, restart server and try to CONTROL+P, if you get kicked bye bye scripter hackers for good . ( the script is not mine, is from the battleye forum, they said a server without scripts.txt is a less protected server ).

    I've been doing some research into this and the Multiplay GB servers are some of the few out there that are allowing access to the server control menu and hence that is why they are being actively targeted. I've been looking on forums that detail the methods used for hacking and they even list "GB Servers" as servers to visit and spawn items. Multiplay really need to sort this out for everyone. I can't verify the script above is legit or not but all multiplay servers will need to have the server control menu disabled and you will see a huge drop in hackers on all of the servers.

    As we run most of the worlds DayZ servers it stands to reason our servers will be mentioned with anything to do with DayZ.

    I'm not aware of anything we've had reported as actual evidence that:-
    1. Our servers are actually being attacked with this hack
    2. They are vulnerable

    Its all very well saying things like "Multiplay really need to sort this out for everyone" but if its a game / battleye bug, so short of disabling Battleye or turning the servers off, there is nothing we can do to prevent it.

    Its all down to the developers to fix their code, which we all know can take time.

    It's not just the Multiplay servers that are being targeted but i am sure there is a hacker / Cheater on my server. Now its probs just a script kiddy BUT if u wish to have a look and see for your self the server number is this MH170655. Have someone take a look and having a script or something to disable the ingame admin would be nice and giving it the ability to kick ANYONE that tries to use it.

    Its all very well saying things like "Multiplay really need to sort this out for everyone" but if its a game / battleye bug, so short of disabling Battleye or turning the servers off, there is nothing we can do to prevent it.

    Its all down to the developers to fix their code, which we all know can take time.
    All I'm doing is informing you that the GB servers are being hacked and it is because scripting is allowed to occur because access to the server control panel is enabled by default on GB servers. I've attempted to access the panel on multiple other servers hosted by the likes of Vilayer and GamingDeluxe and the panel is disabled. It can be disabled by editing the scripts.txt file and I can confirm that the method that was posted by a previous user does work.

    Our server was getting regularly hacked, players were getting teleported and killed at least twice a night. Since enabling the script to prevent access to the server control panel we haven't had any run-ins with hackers whilst we've been online. Obviously this can't possibly stop hacking altogether but it can hinder it for now as it will disable a large amount of it.

    I'm not trying to say this is multiplays fault and I'm not bashing on multiplay because at the end of the day it's the hackers that are at fault, I'm just saying that there are active measures that can be taken to improve the stability of the servers and provide your customers with a more enjoyable experience on the servers that they have purchased. All that has to be done is that the scripts.txt file is altered to a different default state on all servers.

    If you are still not convinced by all this, do some research as I did and any mention of "shift+p" or "right shift + p" is a reference to the server control panel. In the short amount of time I spent looking around I found multiple references to this on different threads about hacking and also multiple references to GB servers being a target.

    I'm pretty certain that there will be a lot of customers who will not plan on renewing their hosting if their server is getting targetted as badly as ours was, which of course is not good business for yourselves.

    Oh and looking back through this thread, that's 3 people now that have suggested to remove the server control panel, it's not just me who's kicking up a fuss lol

    Resao I had a search around but I can't find any definitive information on how to stop this, there's lots a possible posts on various forums but nothing concrete. Do you have any offical links about this?

    With this being a key file for the game I'm sure you'll appreciate that don't want to break things for everyone, so solid official information on this is key.
