    Round starts with 1 player?

    I have been reading this in the news about the lates patch:

    it will once again be possible to reduce the number of players required to start a round to 1 both in ranked and unranked mode.

    I changed in the startup.txt:

    Code:
    # How many players to start the round (int)
    vars.roundStartPlayerCount "1"
    
    # Minimum players before a current around aborts (int)
    vars.roundRestartPlayerCount "0"
    I also tried:
    Code:
    # How many players to st3art the round (int)
    vars.roundStartPlayerCount "1"
    
    # Minimum players before a current around aborts (int)
    vars.roundRestartPlayerCount "1"
    But still I need 4 players to start a round.

    What are the settings to start with 1 player?

    0 Not allowed!

    Start: 1
    Restart: 0

    Works fine for me, you restart the server?

    If you change it in the startup.txt it requires a restart to load the settings, alternatively you can change it in the console and it would work after a round restart.

    You need to put the restart count before the start count.

    You sure on that henry, as that shouldnt be needed, if it is that's a bug so be good to get 100% confirmation if you could test it.

    From what I understand, the start count has to be at least twice the restart count, when you instantize the start count. If your restart count is still set to 4, when you set the start to 1, then it rejects the command. If you set the restart to 0, then the start to 1, tis fine

    This is a copy and paste from my config, in this order;

    vars.roundRestartPlayerCount 0
    vars.roundStartPlayerCount 1

    And it can start with 1 player.

    be sure its not at the bottom of the Startup.txt
    Had the same issue, after placing the command in line above the vars.autobalance true, it worked fine for me..

    That used to be the case but the restart count is now automatically lowered according to the start count now so shouldn't actually be needed.

    I too simply Cannot get this to work anymore, used to run this setting fine but whenever i start and join the server it waits for 3 more players, nomatter what i do.

    Check the config.

    vars.gamePassword "$$game_passwd$$"
    vars.serverName "$$name$$"
    vars.friendlyFire false
    vars.noInteractivityTimeoutTime 1000
    vars.killCam false
    vars.miniMap true
    vars.3dSpotting true
    vars.miniMapSpotting true

    vars.playerRespawnTime 50
    vars.gameModeCounter 300
    Also, the server keeps running Seine crossing, even though its not in my map rotation, just keeps skipping whatever map i select and runs seine insted.
