I was reading the webby and came across this page and it did make my giggle a wee bit.

Basically if you buy the gold version (which I won't bother slandering in this thread seeing as it's been done) you can win the "valve HQ competition!". What a joy.....

You win:

1: "Two nights' accommodation at a hotel of Valve's choice near Valve's ashington state headquarters."

Translation: 2 nights in a hotel - woo, the crowd goes wild...

2: "Coach class airfare to Seattle, Washington."

Ok, I can't fault that, not too bad - return 2 day flight to the US..

3: "A tour of Valve's facilities."

Yay, a tour around an office. Joy...

4: "Lunch with a select group of Valve employees."

Great, I get to have lunch.

5: "An autographed Half-Life 2 poster."

Ooooohhhh, a poster.

Hehe, anyway - like I said, it tickled me :)

It reminded me of the Family Guy episode with Steven King's "Lamp Monster"

Its what wet dreams were made of.
Infact many would probably open there winning copy to say "****, I won, I better burn it before they hunt me down and drag me there"

I would use the opportunity to find Gabe Newell's office and slap him across the face. Hard. :p:

I think they'd have realised someone would try that and therefore dead bolt his door shut (so the ****er does get some work done whilst being protected from the swarm of angry fans)
